Discovering Church Membership
We would be glad to have you find out more about Burley Bible Church. This class is the basic introduction to our church. Since we have people from many different churches or no church background, this class was designed to clearly explain what are church is about.
Discovering Church Membership class is a 4-week course taught on Sunday mornings. It is held 4 times a year (each quarter). Our course is 4-fold: Our Salvation About Our God The Symbols of Salvation Our Statements Our Purpose Statement Our Faith Statement Our Lifestyle Statement Our Strategy The Story of Burley’s Beginning Who We are Trying to Reach Circles of Commitment The B.U.R.L.E.Y. B.I.B.L.E. Strategy Our Structure How Our Church is Structured Our Affiliation What it Means to be a Member		You will receive a notebook with the student syllabus that you will fill out during class time. If you miss one of the classes, please continue through the classes left in the series. You can make it up the next time we offer Discovering Church Membership. When you have completed the class, if you desire to take the next step of membership, two of our elders will interview you for church membership. After the interview, and you are in agreement with the doctrine, purpose and goals of Burley Bible Church, you will be accepted into church membership. We have Baptism services throughout the year. If you have not been baptized, we encourage you to do so. Included in the membership class is a section on baptism so you will understand what baptism means and what it represents.
